Road Less Travelled

This is a poem for those that question whether the choices they make are the right ones. Even though this might give them more questions than answers, it might calm them knowing that they aren't the only ones thinking about these things. Enjoy.
Which road would you take
If you're standing between two ways?
The one you know that's a slice of cake,
Or the one filled with a foggy haze?
Would you take the one you wanted
Rather than the one you needed?
Would it be a road that's haunted
With stories from recent past preceded?
Would you take the one that others took
Or would you take the one less travelled?
The one that comes with a written book,
Or, the one with secrets to unravel?
Is it one that others told you to take,
And told you what you should expect
Or, was it your idea to take a leap of faith,
And become your own life's architect?
Do you think the path you chose was made
Before the choice was ever shown,
Or do you think your destiny is claimed
As you move through life and you've grown?
Would you go with someone you trust
Or would you take it on your own
And carry on until you turn to dust
And claim your throne made of stone?
Do you think you'll end up in the same place,
Does it really matter, this door or the other,
Or the number of choices you've made,
Since we all go back to Earth's mother?
I guess no matter which road you do take
You'll have your own discoveries to make,
But take your time and don't hesitate
To live and enjoy life before it's too late.
