SCAD Back 40
As part of the Savannah College of Art and Design community, we have our very own farm at the Savannah campus. We grow all different kinds of fruits and vegetables, and we even have our own bee hives! We use about 40% of the produce we grow, and the rest, we give back to our community in the form of our own farmers' market on the weekends.
We were required by our SCAD to create a campaign for SCAD Back 40 that would welcome both outside guests and internal students to ultimately create a community. We want to learn and teach others about food insecurity, food deserts, and food waste.
Here is what we came up with.
Introducing our characters:
Mission
We were asked to develop an idea that could help communities, especially families with children, surrounding the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), with food-related issues that they may be facing.
Internal and External
We had to create posters for both our internal students and our external guests to raise and promote SCAD Back 40, our own farm, and the importance of growing and eating fresh produce.
