Blessings in Disguise

We all have hoped for great things to happen to and for us, but sometimes they don't ever really go according to plan. When these moments occur, we always believe that it just wasn't our luck. Perhaps that door closing was for a reason; as they say, when one door closes, there's bound to be another that opens. Enjoy.

I understand that it's not always easy

To think about the things that makes us happy.

To be grateful for everything that we have,

Even for the experiences that didn't last.

Imagine a world where everything went well,

That all our desires were instantly quelled.

How do you think people would live?

What benefit would that all give?

Living here, on this Earth,

Riding the waves of life's surf,

We learn what we posses

Is earned through our own process.

You win some, you lose some,

Appreciate all that you've become.

Be grateful for all the ideas that you had,

Even when it didn't go according to plan

When you don't get what you hoped for

It is because you deserve so much more

And sooner or later you'll realize,

Those mishaps were just blessings in disguise
